Pomegranate oil has been shown to stimulate the growth of keratinocytes (the main type of epidermal cells), thus helping to strengthen and regenerate the epidermis.
Some research shows that pomegranate oil helps prevent skin cancer.
With the help of the action of phytosterols (anti-inflammatory and regenerative) and vitamin E (a strong antioxidant), pomegranate oil, raw or added to care products, significantly slows down the aging of the skin and prevents wrinkles. This oil can be found in satisfactory concentration only in the most luxurious cosmetics.
Due to these properties, pomegranate oil should be used on dry, damaged, inflamed or irritated skin, eczema, skin allergies, psoriasis, seborrhea, and similar skin diseases, as well as on relaxed, tired mature skin with wrinkles. At the same time, it has a very large effect on problem skin with inflamed acne.
The oil is very thick and difficult to smear (apply) but as a pure crude oil can be recommended and mixed with other intoxicating oils.
